Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in Civil Engineering to join our dynamic team in Delta State, Nigeria.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering oil and gas projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring successful project execution and will oversee the management of engineering activities from planning through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the execution of oil and gas projects, ensuring that all phases are completed according to specifications and safety standards.
Coordinate the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, safety, quality assurance) to ensure seamless operations.
Prepare project reports, including schedules, budgets, and status updates, for senior management and stakeholders.
Manage project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
Ensure that all project documentation is accurately maintained and updated.
Foster relationships with clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
Education: HND / BSC in Civil Engineering or related field.
Experience: 5-10 years of experience in oil and gas project engineering, with hands-on experience in delivering successful projects.
Skills & Competencies:
Proficient in project management software, including:
Primavera P6
MS Project
Strong knowledge of oil and gas industry standards and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and liaise with stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of project safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
Salary
N700,000 net per month.
